Melinda Lindsey |
Melinda is a 50 year old musician/artist from New York with a passion for conservation. In 1990 Melinda and
world famous record producer Tony Bongiovi worked with Dr. Noel Brown at the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) on "Only One Earth" , a multi media project with NASA scientists and the largest conference of astronauts and cosmonauts ever assembled. It was at the U.N. that Melinda and Tony first learned of the deadly Red Tide as it had been observed from space.
Prior to that, Melinda wrote, performed and produced environmental music under the name Melody King. Her song "We Must Save Our Planet" received radio airplay in thirty states along with Carly Simon's single, "Turn Of The Tide". She and Tony later worked with Carly on another production of the song which featured Ben Taylor (Carly and James Taylor's son) as performing artist.
In 1991-93 Melinda co-wrote and she and Tony co-produced "Let It Be Earth Day Every Day", a multi-media project which featured 100 young celebrities including Sarah Gilbert, Brian Austen-Green, David Faustino, Darius McCrary and on and on. The project received national and international attention and helped to raise awareness for dolphins who were being suffocated to death in tuna nets. The project was endorsed by Earthtrust, Inc. (formerly Greenpeace).

Bruce A. Plesser
|
 |
Bruce is an attorney who is
admitted to practice in the courts
of New York and Florida as well as
federal courts in those states. For
much of his career, he has been a
criminal lawyer and has been
involved as a prosecutor and defense
attorney in some of the highest
profile cases on Long Island.
Bruce has been active in defending
the rights of our most vulnerable
citizens, including children. He has
been assigned by judges as law
guardian on countless occasions. In
addition he has sat on the board of
directors for several not for profit
corporations and has devoted his
time and experience to many social
causes, including those involving
the environment.
We are appreciative of the support
that Bruce has given and has
committed to give to the effort to
save the Pelicans from an
environment that continues to
threaten our natural resources.
Bruce believes that the pollution
that threatens Pelicans causes
environmental issues in other areas.
We are all connected to our planet.
Our mission is to save the Pelicans
but in our endeavor we will be
making the planet a better and
healthier place to live for all
creatures. Species become extinct.
Once they are gone, they are gone
forever and our future is threatened
not only by their loss but by the
causes of that loss.
